"Sorry to bombard you all with emails but just want to keep you informed. So many of you have offered to help but don’t really know where to start – me included. If you can’t get out to buy items needed, or volunteer your time, please consider a donation to COPA Cares. This is COPA’s 501(c)3 charity organization. Your donation is tax deductible and you will receive a letter back for your records. Just indicate Tornado Relief on your check. Your check can be sent to:

National News organizations and Charitable groups are asking that we NOT bring donated materials to Moore. This causes a multiple of problems including increased traffic; massive storage needs to store items; and a general hindrance of emergency workers. They need to focus on Search and recovery rather than on managing resources….many of which can’t really be used.
Instead…..GIVE MONEY! You can give through your local church…..you can bring or send a check to your local Salvation Army Office or through other charitable causes. Just give wisely! DESIGNATE your check for Moore/Oklahoma Tornado Recovery. Be aware that not everyone out there soliciting donations are legitimate….and some take a large administrative cost off the top. GIVE WISELY…..GIVE GENEROUSLY!
